There are many restaurants scattered throughout Tuscany but, although I have crisscrossed the region during my many bike tours, it is impossible to try them all!!
Therefore, this is your personal selection of the best eateries outside Florence.

Hello. I wanted to highlight a restaurant located in “Scarperia in Mugello”, only 20 minutes from Florence. This is an old restored circle the "Torre Osteria et Bottega", an eatery that offers a typical and absolutely scrumptious Mugello menu.
Their specialties are tortelli with tomato sauce, green ravioli and an exceptional steak!
The place also offers an excellent selection of red wines. The Torre is open for lunch every day including Saturday and Sunday (and Very handy for weekend excursions) and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. Moreover, during the weekends, La Torre organizes snacks/dinners with art exhibits and live music.
The shop offers many refined and tasty gourmet items, cold cuts, cheeses, mustards, etc.…
Moreover I have followed the place on Facebook and read that on Wednesdays they organize O-LIVE, an evening of live music with indeed interesting musical suggestions…
